Question 2

How much can I earn as a babysitter?

Accepted Answer

It depends on each babysitter experience and families’ requirements. However, rates for occasional babysitter start at 15-20 lei/hour and can go up to 35-45 lei/hour. We recommend starting with a lower rate until you gather 1-2 reviews, then you can increase it. Reviews greatly help with trustworthiness, and families are willing to pay more for a reliable person.

Question 3

Do I need prior experience as a babysitter?

Accepted Answer

Previous experience is an advantage, but not mandatory. Let’s take the babysitter job for example: If you've assisted with child care in a family context, are responsible, adaptable, creative, and willing to learn, your chances of finding a job are very good. Also, if you have supplementary studies (psychology, sociology, pedagogy, psycho-pedagogical module, etc.) or even a babysitter or first aid course, families will appreciate you more.

Question 4

I can't accept a Monday to Friday job. Can I have a flexible schedule?

Accepted Answer

Certainly, there are families who need occasional help or only 2-3 times a week. When creating your babysitter profile, make sure you select occasional availability and specify the exact schedule you can commit to without issues. Remember, if your availability changes, you can always modify your chosen schedule.

Question 5

How do I know which families are serious and trustworthy?

Accepted Answer

Just as babysitters get reviews from their collaborations, families do too. So, if you receive a booking from a family that has collaborated with other babysitters and you see they have only positive feedback, you'll feel more confident in accepting the booking. The same goes for families with negative bookings, allowing you to avoid them.
